Waxing Theological About Nothing!

Friends, I know you have been faithfully checking my blog and I must apologize. It has been almost a full month since the last post and alas, I have no excuses. Ah well. In the time since I last wrote a Wilco album was released, 80 bazillion of my friends were comissioned or ordained and the countdown has definitely begun for people who are leaving this area (some in 3 weeks, some in less than three months!). In fact, I'm attending an ordination service today at the National Cathedral.
I spoke to my former next door neighbor who was recently ordained as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church...she said, "I finally am able to relax on a Sunday afternoon. Sleep, take a hike, read even--I don't have to write anymore papers. I'm going to actually be a priest." Yes my friend, the light is shining brightly at the end of that tunnel.

As the light shines brightly on the end of this post, I will tell you I'm heading to Bread for the World's Sowing Seeds Conference later today So finally, there will be something to wax theological about...

Almost...

One paper left. I still have no clue how this will turn out, come together, whatever. What am I writing about again? Right, MLK and something about MLK. Of course, I'm avoiding work you silly fool! Isn't that the only time I post on this bastard?

It's 1:05 am. I have until noon tomorrow. And those of you who work at the bookstore, don't expect a shower. I'm going to be stinking around and loving it. By the time I see you people, I'll be DONE. Bittersweet Symphony

WTS graduation was yesterday at the National Cathedral. Everyone's families and friends were celebrating, as they should be. It really is a happy event..really. But I'm going to miss seeing several of these folks in my classes, in the bookstore, in chapel. I also found myself thinking two things: "is it really May already?" and my own graduation is looming closer and closer. Ughs.

And not only this, but other friends are moving or talking about moving at the end of the summer. Of course it is all good. People are buying houses or getting apartments and getting married or starting grad school or even just possibly taking some time off...You know who you are. And I also know we aren't really supposed to talk about it. The sadness of the moving, I mean. Blogging really isn't the same as talking, is it? We can just sit in the darkness of our apartments and cry.

So if after reading this, you are ready to jump out of a window...stop yourself and look at this picture of randoms dressed like smurfs. It might make you laugh.

Wow...you don't write a blog for awhile....

So, Blogger became way cool since Matlock Mornings shut down one sad morning a year and a half ago. Who knew I could upload pictures and host Wilco videos?

I'll admit it. I'm avoiding a lot of work. Which of course, means it is a perfect time to rediscover the lost discipline of blogging. So, I'm back and this time its for real.

If you find no new posts--which you won't because it is a new day at sonicsubstantiation--you can at least read some news or watch a video.
